We are seeking a skilled Psych Tech-SHH 1NW Adolescnt to join our team at Spring Harbor Hospital. As a Psych Tech-SHH 1NW Adolescnt, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to adolescents with acute mental health needs.
Responsibilities- Develop a working knowledge of therapeutic interventions and interactions for common diagnoses of the population served.
- Maintain the unit schedule and facilitate timely transitions.
- Assist patients with Daily Living Skills (ADLs) as directed by an RN.
- Follow patient treatment and behavior plans.
- Conduct environmental rounds as assigned and remove any sharps or prohibited items.
- Facilitate milieu-based community groups and leisure/recreation groups.
- Accompany patients on transports as assigned.
- High School diploma and equivalent experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Services preferred.
