Adult Psychiatrist

About the Opportunity

Spring Harbor Hospital in Maine is seeking an adult service psychiatrist to join their dynamic medical staff. This is an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary care team, including advanced practice professionals, nursing, social work, and psychiatric technicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex biopsychosocial presentations.

The hospital offers a range of services, including ECT, partial programs, and outpatient clinics, and has direct relationships with partial programs, a developmental disability outpatient program, substance-use treatment, and outpatient clinics. As a psychiatrist on this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals and provide care to patients with a range of mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to adult patients with complex biopsychosocial presentations
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive care
• Participate in regular case conferences and Grand Rounds presentations to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in psychiatry
• Eligible for an Assistant Professor Faculty appointment at Tufts School of Medicine

Requirements

• Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School
• Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training
• Current and valid license as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine or eligible
• Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence
• Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry
• Current DEA Registration Certificate
• Experience: 3+ years experience inclusive residency and/or fellowship training
