About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Product Engineer to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. This is a critical role that will play a key part in shaping the future of our technology and product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sophisticated research to identify opportunities for process improvement and develop solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize feature development and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with business and IT product teams to drive innovation and delivery.
  • Design, build, and develop new products, technologies, or services from feasibility through to production.
  • Use data and analysis to convey solution impact and support process-driven solutions.
  • Develop business logic and critical metrics for incorporation into decision support models and tools.
  • Deliver recommendations and supporting data to formulate solid, logical, and understandable business reasons.
  • Support project planning and effort estimation within scope.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of IT and/or business experience.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Engineer or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in process mapping, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and influencing skills to work in partnership with internal teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of product and software development techniques and agile methodologies.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a project manager, product owner, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • DevOps experience including the use of Enterprise Agile planning solutions.
  • Previous experience as a product Subject Matter Expert including ownership for its development and performance.
  • Airline business experience, as well as business process re-engineering and/or extensive experience working with agile teams.
