Overview

Role Responsibilities

In this influential position, you will engage in our processor design initiatives, working alongside design teams to provide essential technology support that accelerates the delivery of functional products to a vast customer base. Your contributions will be vital in addressing process technology challenges, enabling design for key analog, display, and PMIC products. Key responsibilities include:
  • Facilitating technical collaboration with semiconductor foundries.
  • Supporting product development phases, including tape-out and debugging processes.
  • Collaborating closely with foundries to resolve silicon process and product challenges.
  • Overseeing and assessing foundry deliverables such as PDK documentation, LVS, DRM/DRC, Spice models, and technical files, while driving enhancements with foundry partners.
  • Participating in the development of next-generation process technologies for PMIC and analog devices.
  • Assisting in the introduction of new products from initial design concepts through to production launch.
  • Evaluating device usage scenarios to ensure product reliability and safe operating areas.
  • Managing and mitigating technology risks across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Establishing and nurturing essential connections with suppliers and internal teams.
Essential Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor process technology and manufacturing, with a preference for candidates with direct experience in PMIC or analog technology development.
  • Extensive knowledge of CMOS and BCDMOS technologies, particularly in analog design.
  • Leadership experience in engineering teams is advantageous.
  • Experience in supporting designs with substantial digital components is preferred.
  • Proficiency in working with PDKs and associated collateral, including Spice models, DRM/DRC, LVS, and RC tech files, is essential.
  • Ability to collaborate positively with design teams across analog, power, and digital domains.
  • Experience in process qualification and yield enhancement is a plus.
  • Familiarity with reliability mechanisms and device safe operating areas is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Self-motivation and a pragmatic approach to task execution are crucial.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree combined with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits
  • At Apple, the base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a defined range. This allows for growth and advancement as you develop in your role. The base salary range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with actual salary dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in our discretionary employee stock programs. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
