Radiology Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality radiology services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and radiation therapy treatments
  • Utilize fluoroscopy with the C-arm to provide radiology services
  • Assist consulting radiologists, administrators, and clinical directors in maintaining compliance for the radiology program
  • Manage inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels
  • Ensure proper warning signs are posted in areas where fluoroscopy is used
  • Assist in maintaining results of radiology exposure badges, fluoroscopy equipment, and preventive maintenance
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology technologist program
  • Certified as radiology technician (AART)
  • CPR certification
  • Operating Room or Pain Procedure experience
  • ASC experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Effectively organize time, equipment, and supplies
  • Use equipment accurately
  • Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and promote privacy and dignity
  • Confirm proper radiology techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice
  • Assist in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels
  • Utilize appropriate shielding devices and techniques for patients, physicians, and staff in areas where fluoroscopy is used
Requirements:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturer's instructions or instructions for use
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors, and the general public
