Addiction Psychiatry Specialist

Position Overview:
As a dedicated Psychiatrist specializing in addiction, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing mental health issues, particularly those related to substance use. This role emphasizes outpatient care, providing you with the flexibility to tailor your practice to meet patient needs.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current Medical License in New Jersey
- At least three years of clinical experience post-medical school, including residency training and supervisory roles
- Board Certification or eligibility in Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine from recognized boards
- Experience in addiction treatment is highly desirable
- Strong ability to work collaboratively and independently

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with behavioral health challenges, focusing on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Administer psychotherapeutic interventions and oversee medication management for mental health conditions
- Keep detailed client records, including medical and psychosocial histories
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Communicate treatment progress and patient conditions to relevant stakeholders
- Prepare case reports and summaries as required
- Provide supervision to junior staff as necessary
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned
