Addiction Psychiatry Specialist

Position Overview:
As a dedicated Psychiatrist specializing in addiction, you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients experiencing mental health challenges related to substance use. This role emphasizes outpatient care, providing you with the opportunity to manage your practice with flexibility and independence.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO credentials
- Current New Jersey Medical License
- At least three years of clinical experience post-medical school, including residency training and supervisory roles
- Board Certification or eligibility in Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine from recognized boards
- Experience in addiction treatment is preferred
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work autonomously

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose patients' behavioral health issues, focusing on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Administer psychotherapeutic interventions and manage medications for mental health conditions
- Keep detailed client records, encompassing medical and social histories
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Communicate treatment progress and patient conditions to relevant stakeholders
- Prepare case reports and summaries as required
- Oversee junior staff as necessary
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
