Position Summary:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop initial 2D concepts and transition them into 3D models.
  • Create detailed solid models and layouts for aerospace sub-systems and engine control products.
  • Conduct tolerance studies to ensure manufacturability and accuracy of designs.
  • Utilize advanced tools to manage Bill of Materials and maintain design integrity.
  • Oversee the creation of model-based definitions (MBD) for complex components.
  • Lead a team of drafters in producing precise component drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX/Teamcenter environments.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and design specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Experience in MBD practices and familiarity with aerospace industry standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Work Environment:

This role requires a presence on the shop floor with occasional computer and telephone work. Flexibility in hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.

All candidates must be U.S. Citizens and possess or be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
