Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to oversee the safety of our facilities and ensure the well-being of our personnel and visitors. Responsibilities include patrolling the premises, generating Daily Activity Reports, managing traffic, and enforcing parking regulations. The officer will be tasked with identifying suspicious activities and preventing vandalism, theft, or other unlawful actions. A successful candidate will exhibit strong surveillance skills and the ability to manage confrontations effectively. The primary objective is to assist Triumph Protection Group in maintaining a secure and efficient working environment.

Supervisory Role:

No supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols and monitor designated areas; report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
  • Monitor surveillance systems, inspect property, and observe crowds.
  • Contact emergency services when necessary.
  • Ensure the security of the property by checking doors, windows, and gates after hours.
  • Investigate reports of unusual activity on the premises.
  • Detain individuals suspected of criminal behavior until law enforcement arrives.
  • Escort unauthorized individuals off the property.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Familiarity with the layout of the property and its buildings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Security guard training certification is mandatory (as per state regulations).
  • Prior experience is advantageous but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

With or without reasonable accommodation, the role requires the physical and mental capability to perform all essential functions. Key demands include:

  • Ability to patrol the property efficiently.
  • Physical capability to detain individuals if necessary.
  • Extended periods of monitoring surveillance equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
