Job Title: Senior Estimator

About the Role:

The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in providing estimating services and expertise for various market sectors and contract delivery methods. This position will be responsible for creating estimates that foster success through a collaborative and integrated project delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, plan, organize, and evaluate estimates for a multitude of projects, large and small, across various market sectors.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and owner documents to establish scope of work contents for estimates and other deliverables.
  • Prepare detailed and conceptual estimates, including working with self-perform to scope project, create bid lists, and ensure proper evaluation and documentation of project scope.
  • Perform takeoffs required for assigned estimates, including self-performed trades and BIM-generated quantification.
  • Prepare and review documents for specific deliverables.
  • Participate in the presentation of project estimates to project owners and other partners.
  • Lead internal and external meetings.
  • Complete the bidding process, including bid solicitation, bidders' communications, proposals evaluations, and bid evaluation.
  • Establish acceptable design options and best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
  • Develop and maintain client, design partner, subcontractor, supplier, and external customer relationships.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to estimating staff in preparing estimates for all projects.
  • Lead specific project assignments and provide guidance to other estimators assigned to other projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other related degree required.
  • At least ten years of estimating experience required.
  • IPD and TVD experience preferred.
  • Wide variety of experience with Site and Building System, Assemblies, and Components.
  • Ability to coordinate group work effort is crucial.
  • Wide variety of experience in Negotiated Guarantee Maximum Price (GMP) and Lump Sum (Hard) Bid type of projects.
  • Strong understanding of Excel spreadsheets, database-based software, take-off software, scheduling software, and BIM tools.

Salary Range: $135,250 - $202,950 per year. Starting compensation will be based on factors specific to the candidate's level of experience, qualifications, education, and geographical location.
