Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a provider.
  • Perform select clinical duties, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patient charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Assist with ordering and stocking of supplies and perform basic materials management functions.
  • Document provider encounters with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Assistant certification obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
