We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Relations Manager to join our team at Americold Logistics. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our treatment of every associate is fair, respectful, and consistent with our Company values and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Associate Relations Processes: Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with associates and managers to ensure a proactive, fair, and consistent approach to resolutions.
- Compliance and Documentation: Create and maintain all required documentation in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, as well as company policy.
- HR Support and Investigations: Provide HR support in responding to ethics and compliance hotline reports related to Associate Relations issues. Conduct or assist in workplace investigations where critical Associate Relations issues or challenging associate situations are raised.
- Performance Management Systems: Design and implement performance management systems, including performance evaluations, corrective actions, feedback mechanisms, and performance improvement plans.
- Associate Relations Training: Recommend, develop, and facilitate Associate Relations training to a variety of audiences, including managers and associates. Ensure consistency in application.
- Complex Issue Resolution: Investigate, analyze, negotiate, and resolve complex and important Associate Relations issues in a timely and effective manner. Analyze information and data necessary to define and discern cost and policy implications of resolution, negotiations, and disputes.
- Reporting and Analytics: Prepare monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports and presentations, including reports and analytics monitoring Associate Relations trends and identifying areas for improvement or intervention.
- Associate Surveys and Feedback: Participate in conducting and analyzing the results of associate surveys, round tables, focus groups, or exit interviews. Specifically review exit interview responses to provide follow-up outreach to associates and managers to investigate as necessary.
- Experience: 5+ years direct experience in Associate Relations or Human Resources with an emphasis on Associate Relations work.
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Technical Skills: Experience working with and applying employment & labor laws and regulations throughout the United States. Technically proficient in Office 365/Teams; MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; SharePoint; Adobe.
- Assessment and Recommendation: Experience assessing complex data sets, developing recommendations based on assessments, and influencing action by business leaders.
- Specialized Training: Specialized training in Associate Relations.
- International Experience: Experience working with and applying employment & labor laws and regulations throughout Canada.
- Union Experience: Experience in union environments and traditional labor issues.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations.
