Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team at Winsmith. As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assembling a wide variety of gear boxes using high-quality components and following engineering designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform efficiently at line speed on all assembly workstations
  • Pull parts from inventory stock and stage assembly orders for building units
  • Comply with all ISO 9001 assembly quality procedures
  • Read and interpret assembly routers and drawings
  • Able to place component parts into a storage system
  • Capable of performing at rates set by pre-determined time standards
  • Required following all safety rules, use of proper PPE, and report any safety concerns
  • Perform all operations necessary to evaluate rejected speed reducers and determine the appropriate repair method
Requirements
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read various measuring equipment including scales and dial indicators
  • Mechanical ability
Technical Skills
  • Ability to use various hand tools, hydraulic presses, air wrenches, electric motors, air gauges, bearing pre-load press, parts washer, and arbor press
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects from 10-50 pounds
  • Flexible and overtime sometimes required
  • Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day
