Job Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Associate Director of Facilities to lead the residential facilities program on the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising facilities staff, providing leadership for facilities operations, and ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise facilities staff on the Jupiter Campus, responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance program.
  • Provide leadership for facilities operations, including supervising the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Assist in providing leadership for the residential facilities program on the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses.
  • Ensure safety and customer satisfaction in residential facilities.
  • Work closely with Housing and Residential Education staff, campus partners, and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Perform job-related duties as required.

Requirements:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong administrative and problem-solving skills. Experience with plumbing, electrical, and/or HVAC systems. Familiar with building systems, including elevators, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. Possess skills in project management, organizing, delegating, and prioritizing. Ability to lead, motivate, direct, and communicate with all levels of employees. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships. Demonstrated skill in critical thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $90,000 per year. Florida Atlantic University offers excellent benefit packages, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and flexible spending plans. State retirement options are also available.
