Position Overview:
- Prepare patients for their appointments by completing the Advanced Standard room process, which includes documenting the chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and conducting thorough medication reconciliation.
- Assist with in-office tests such as blood draws, mental status evaluations, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer vaccines and other injections as permitted by scope of practice.
- Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate the implementation of care plans.
- Medical Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting. - Certified Medical Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: Must possess active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
