Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician - Psychiatrist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Service, you will provide a wide range of psychiatric services to our patients, including assessment, treatment, and consultation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general psychiatric assessment and treatment in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Provide consultation to Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and other clinical programs
  • Carry a caseload and provide direct patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary staff
  • Provide a full range of professional psychiatric services to address complex issues faced by Veteran patients
  • Participate in staff development, training, and oversight direction to Behavioral Health staff members
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree
  • Must have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Must have completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English
