About the Role

AECOM is seeking a talented Transportation Design Engineer to join our dynamic and highly technical transportation team in the Murray, Utah office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design on transportation projects for various clients in public and private industries.
  • Participate in cutting-edge design projects that utilize the latest technologies for delivering design services to clients.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work.
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepare technical specification sections.
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Requirements
  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional engineering-related work environment with heavy emphasis on design of highways/roadways.
  • Utah PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard computer software such as Civil3d, Microstation ORD/Open Roads.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, develop technical reports, and document client communication.
