Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mid Michigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Clinical Support: Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical experience.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licensures: Possess a valid Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, or equivalent) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and electronic medical records systems.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 20 pounds. The ability to wear personal protective equipment and follow infection control protocols is essential.
