Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Specialist at The Shyft Group, you will be instrumental in advancing our Human Resources initiatives, focusing on recruitment, benefits administration, compensation, and performance management. Your role will include:
- Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with relevant HR laws and regulations
- Addressing inquiries related to HR processes and programs
- Collaborating with HR teams across various locations to support strategic initiatives
- Facilitating conflict resolution among team members and management
- Conducting thorough investigations regarding policy violations
- Overseeing the hiring process and managing employee benefits programs
- Administering short-term disability and leave requests
- Coordinating communication regarding employee handbooks and benefits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing setting
- A minimum of five years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and decisions
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources
- PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certifications
