Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Health Care Resource Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our outpatient clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule intake appointments, verify patient information, and prepare medical records
  • Check in patients, escort them to waiting areas, and interview patients to gather vital signs and medical history
  • Assist Medical Directors, Program Physicians, and Nurse Practitioners with patient intakes and procedures
  • Collect blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory testing
  • Prepare treatment rooms, disinfect equipment, and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Perform receptionist duties, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records
  • Triage phone calls, manage messages, and distribute lab results to counselors
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration
  • Phlebotomy skills and CPR/BCLS certification
  • Familiarity with State Regulations, DEA regulations, and TJC/CARF Accreditation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with patients and demonstrate a non-judgmental attitude
  • 1-2 years of prior healthcare experience in a similar field and environment
