Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Preconstruction to join our team in our Ft Lauderdale office. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in industrial, K-12, retail, or medical office building projects, with a focus on new construction and renovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preconstruction efforts for projects valued between $100,000 and $80 million
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and scope of work
  • Manage project timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in preconstruction or a related field
  • Proficiency in Planswift or similar takeoff software
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, including RFIs, submittals, and civil/geotechnical reports
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
