**Engineering Manager, Product Development Lead**

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of our Weights & Biases Workspace and Reports product. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the core experiment tracking experience and will continue to develop new collaboration features to accelerate AI Engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements, scope, and milestones.
  • Drive the development of key product features, such as baseline run comparison, customizable sharing/reporting experience, and full fidelity charts.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, ensuring high-quality code, architectural integrity, and scalability.
  • Work closely with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and iterate on the product roadmap.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to Engineers on the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Software Engineering, with a strong background in building and delivering complex software products.
  • Previous experience (1+ years) in a leadership or managerial role, with a track record of effectively managing and growing engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to communicate directly with users, understand their workflows, and summarize their feedback for your team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience building ML based products or building tools for ML teams.
  • Experience leading a team in a start up environment and dealing with urgent and ambiguous requests.
  • Experience using or working with experiment tracking tools such as Tensorboard.
  • Deep technical expertise on data visualization and performant web applications.
