Overview:

The Southwest Little Rock Clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN roles during clinic hours. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.

The LPN is responsible for gathering patient and family information to support the Registered Nurse in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves delivering safe and effective care to assigned patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gather patient and family data to help identify clinical, educational, psychosocial, and cultural needs, and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
  2. Contribute to the patient care plan based on identified needs while recognizing when to involve other healthcare professionals.
  3. Organize and prioritize patient care tasks to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  4. Perform routine patient care tasks and administer medications safely and efficiently, while being prepared to intervene in emergencies.
  5. Tailor nursing interventions to meet the specific needs of patients and families, adjusting as necessary.
  6. Reassess and modify the patient care plan in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
  7. Engage in quality and safety initiatives, such as HAC groups, QAPI, KPI, and the Top 10 list.
  8. Participate in recruitment efforts, including interview teams and open houses.
  9. Enhance patient experience by developing and implementing strategies to improve satisfaction.
