Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Optics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our first product - an AI laser sentinel. As an Optics Engineer, you will play a critical role in simulating and designing new laser systems, retrofitting existing systems to maximize power down-range, and collaborating with our team to push the boundaries of laser technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced laser systems, including simulation and modeling of laser performance
  • Retrofit existing laser systems to enhance their capabilities and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate laser systems with AI and robotics
  • Contribute to the development of new laser-based technologies and innovations

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in laser system development, optics, photonics, and robotics
  • Strong understanding of laser physics and ability to apply it to real-world problems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience with industrial laser lab techniques and equipment
  • Self-directed projects and a passion for learning and innovation

Compensation

Base compensation for this role is between $90,000 to $100,000 with additional equity compensation.
