Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients in various inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses, including post-surgical, developmental, neurological, genetic, oncologic, and traumatic conditions.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in the field.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Connecticut.
  • Membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FEES, MBS, and TEP.
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and medically complex pediatric dysphagia management.
  • Proficiency with articulation and phonological disorders, language delay, and behavior modification.
Work Environment

This is a per diem position, and the schedule will vary depending on the needs of the department. The Speech Language Pathologist will work in an outpatient pediatric setting, providing care to patients from birth to 21 years old.
