Assembly Worker - TMS Department

GA Foods Inc is seeking a skilled Assembly Worker to join our TMS Department. As an Assembly Worker, you will play a crucial role in packing components, including meals, boxes, and other items.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Packing components by hand, including meals, boxes, and other items.
  • Meeting production standards, including packing 40 components per minute.
  • Boxing, lifting, and stocking items in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices (food safety) guidelines and hygiene practices.
  • Operating equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Inspecting products at all stages to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Participating in equipment and area cleaning in a safe and timely manner.
  • Participating in operator-based machine maintenance and care.
  • Participating in training programs.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift.
  • Using motor coordination with finger dexterity for machine operation and other tasks.
  • Working in a physical environment with food debris, odors, and equipment noise.
  • Standing, walking, climbing, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, grasping, stooping, squatting, bending, and stretching as needed.
  • Performing repetitive motion tasks in a standing position for the entire shift.

Requirements:
  • Meeting schedule requirements (7:30 AM-4 PM) or until production ends.
  • Working with minimal supervision.
  • Reading, writing, and understanding instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English effectively.
  • Participating in all tasks needed to get the job done, including end-of-shift clean-up/sanitation.
  • Passing all pre-employment screens, including drug, background, and criminal checks.
