Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring proper patient positioning, technique selection, and radiation protection.
  • Develop and maintain film in accordance with approved techniques, and replenish processor and replenishment tanks as needed.
  • Conduct visual preventative safety inspections, complete tube warm-up procedures, and report any dangerous conditions.
  • Pleasantly greet patients, introduce yourself, and confirm patient identity, explaining examination procedures as needed.
  • Transport patients and mobile x-ray equipment to various areas, including patient rooms, emergency rooms, and operating rooms.
  • Take rotating shifts and call, complying with department scheduling guidelines and being prepared to start on time.
  • Perform office procedures accurately in the absence of clerical personnel, updating patient exams in history files.
  • Wear film badges above the collar and turn them in monthly for evaluation, following up on results.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Licensure and certification in Radiography (RRT) and ARRT (C-ARRT - RT R ARRT).
  • Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
