Job Overview

Mechanical Maintenance and Equipment Expertise:

This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Maintenance of textile machinery such as sewing machines and related equipment, bias cutting, textile forming, and trimming.
  • Service and upkeep of pneumatic and hydraulic presses, including stamping and die maintenance.
  • Management of hydraulic units.
  • Refurbishment and installation of equipment, which includes installation, powering, debugging, and process development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks regularly.
  • Set up stamping presses and maintain dies.
  • Perform maintenance and setup on textile machinery.
  • Inspect, operate, test, diagnose, repair, and rebuild machinery, equipment, or structures as required.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of incoming equipment.

Required Skill Sets:

  • Proficient mechanical skills and a strong mechanical mindset.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with management, colleagues, vendors, and external contractors.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as mills, lathes, drills, and surface grinders as necessary.
  • Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, multimeters, and other tools as required.
  • Capability to convert measurements between metric and imperial systems.
  • Understanding and experience with voltage systems.
  • Experience in welding and machinery operation.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming.

The ideal candidate should possess either a degree from an industrial apprenticeship program or a two-year technical school, along with a minimum of three years of industrial experience, or have at least five years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial manufacturing environment.
