Job Title: Hospitality Specialist

DoubleTree by Hilton Battle Creek is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Hospitality Specialist. This role involves providing exceptional guest experiences, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring the highest standards of service are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Presentation and cleanliness: Report to work in uniform, presented neat and clean
  • Guest interaction: Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner, ask questions, and make personal connections to make them feel welcome and valued
  • Anticipating needs: Anticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step further
  • Cleaning and organization: Contribute to the quality and reputation of our hotel by maintaining a spotless environment for guests
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning duties: Clean and clear all dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses
  • Dishwashing: Wash dirty dishes and put them away
  • Kitchen maintenance: Assist in sweeping, mopping kitchen areas
  • Presentation and polishing: Clean and polish kitchen and equipment
  • Equipment upkeep: Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are kept clean and orderly
  • Hygiene and sanitation: Uphold hygiene and sanitation regulations
  • Equipment checks: Ensure all kitchen and dishwashing equipment is clean and in good working order
  • Reporting issues: Report any issues to supervisor
  • FSA and production compliance: Assist with food safety and production compliance
Requirements:
  • Experience: 6 months preferred but not required
  • Licenses, Registrations, and/or Certifications Required: None
Working Conditions:
  • Physical Effort: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material or equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying heavy (over 30 pounds) materials for intermittent periods throughout the day
  • Occupational Risks: Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve occupational risk, such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, injuries from falls, or back injury sustained with assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning equipment or materials

Estimated Salary: $15-$18 per hour
