Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Float Pool team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established patient care standards.
- Float to various departments throughout the hospital to provide patient care, including scheduling day-of-staffing, multiple assignment locations within a single shift, or seasonal staffing patterns.
- Participate as a member of the healthcare team in cooperation with and under the direction of a clinical manager or designee.
- Current nursing license in the designated state of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, as required by specialty assignment.
- Associate's degree in nursing (required) or Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred).
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. You may be exposed to high noise levels, bright lights, and physical altercations. You will also be required to use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires manual dexterity, the ability to perform shift work, and the ability to maneuver the weight of patients. You will also be required to hear alarms, telephone, and audio recordings, and to reach above shoulder level.
