UnityPoint Health is seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing vascular imaging procedures and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Collects and reviews data related to the physiological/psychological status of the patient.
  • Provides education to patients and ensures all consents are signed.
  • Obtains and records patient history and accurate symptoms pertinent to the procedure to be performed.
  • Competently prepares patients for appropriate procedures.
  • Performs vascular imaging procedures and determines if images are acceptable or if they need redone.
  • Operates ultrasound duplex imaging equipment to perform imaging studies and physiological testing procedures.
  • Properly stores and transfers exams in PACS.
  • Gives providers and radiologists preliminary results and documents in the patient's medical record.
  • Responsible for regular rotation of on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography or an accredited School of Ultrasonography, or holds a BSN.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International, be a Registered RVT or be registry eligible.
  • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
