Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Facilities Management Department and other Support Service departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of facilities staff, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, budgets, and policies to ensure efficient and effective facilities operations.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues related to facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Manage access control, security cameras, and other security-related systems.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate facilities staff on performance expectations and apply progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Participate in hiring and termination procedures for facilities staff.
  • Develop and monitor capital, operating, and staffing budgets in collaboration with the Engineering Director.
  • Attend Safety and Security Quarterly Committee Meetings to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Management Director.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate/GED
  • 5+ years of comparable experience in relevant areas of healthcare
  • 5+ years of experience working in a healthcare facility preferred
  • 1+ year of personnel management experience preferred
  • Related experience may substitute for college coursework on a year-for-year basis
