Job Summary

Create an exceptional customer experience through outstanding service and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customer loyalty. Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, and ensure adherence to quality assurance standards. Responsibilities
  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and offering product recommendations.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical products and competently discuss them with customers and prescribers.
  • Offer drug counseling and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
  • Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
  • Dispense medications and contact prescribers' offices for authorization.
  • Process third-party insurance information and facilitate charge purchases.
  • Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions accurately for fill/refill.
  • Clean the department and provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Compare and check incoming orders, stock them properly, and return unused medication stock bottles to stock.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks or issues.
Qualifications
  • Be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
  • Hold a current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
