About the opportunity

  • The practice encompasses multiple locations, all supported by NNPs, with no well-baby coverage required.
  • The facility features a 75-bed, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with all single patient rooms.
  • Another site includes a 21-bed, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing Neonatal and Perinatal services.
  • Additionally, there is a 17-bed, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit offering Neonatal and Perinatal services.
  • Stipend opportunities are available for fellows in their first, second, and third years. Inquire for further details.

About the Area

The region combines the vibrancy of urban life with a welcoming small-town atmosphere, making it an ideal place to settle down. It is conveniently located within a short distance of numerous major cities and is surrounded by extensive parkland, perfect for outdoor activities. The candidate will be part of a group of ten Neonatologists, with all sites providing 24/7 NNP coverage. Neonatologists will be responsible for in-house calls. Additional duties include mentoring pediatric residents, NNPs, medical students, and allied health professionals. Clinical research opportunities are available, and participation is highly encouraged. All practice sites are affiliated with a local medical school, and neonatologists are part of their clinical faculty. The area is home to multiple colleges and universities within a short driving distance, and there are numerous excellent public and private school systems available. The community enjoys access to all cultural, entertainment, sports, and recreational amenities of a major metropolitan area while maintaining a peaceful, small-town feel. Coupled with an affordable cost of living, this location is an excellent choice for families seeking a balanced lifestyle. The Neonatology group has a strong reputation for low turnover and high stability.
