Responsibilities

About the opportunity

  • The practice operates across multiple locations, all supported by NNPs, with no well-baby responsibilities.
  • The facility features a 75-bed, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with private patient rooms.
  • Another site includes a 21-bed, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing Neonatal and Perinatal services.
  • Additionally, a 17-bed, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is available with similar services.
  • Stipend opportunities are available for fellows in their first, second, and third years. Inquire for more details.

About the Area

The region offers a unique combination of urban amenities and a community-oriented atmosphere, making it an ideal place to settle. It is conveniently located within a short distance of numerous major cities and is surrounded by vast parklands, appealing to outdoor enthusiasts. The candidate will be part of a group consisting of ten neonatologists. All locations provide 24/7 NNP coverage, and neonatologists are expected to take in-house calls. Additional duties include mentoring pediatric residents, NNPs, medical students, and allied health professionals. Clinical research infrastructure is available, and participation is highly encouraged. All practice sites are affiliated with a local medical school, and neonatologists hold positions on their clinical faculty. The area is home to multiple colleges and universities within a short drive, and it features excellent public and private educational systems. The community offers access to cultural, entertainment, sports, and recreational facilities while maintaining a tranquil environment. With a low cost of living, it is an excellent location for families seeking a balanced lifestyle. The Neonatology group enjoys low turnover and high stability.
