Community Health Network presents an exceptional opportunity within our team of Clinical Nurse Specialists in Specialty Maternity/OB Services at Community East and South. The Clinical Nurse Specialist Intern is being trained to deliver expert, integrated consultation services aimed at promoting safe, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care throughout the healthcare continuum. This role encompasses direct practice, education, research, and clinical leadership, serving providers, consumers, and payers within the healthcare system.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled, accepted, and have completed a minimum of 18 credit hours in a Master of Science in Nursing program with a dedicated track as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, or possess a Master of Science in Nursing and have been accepted into a post-master's program in a dedicated track as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Demonstrated academic progression is essential, with degree completion expected within two years of acceptance into this Clinical Nurse Specialist Intern position. (Required)
  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Indiana as recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). (Required)
  • Proven expertise in nursing practice, validated by a minimum of three years of current clinical experience. (Required)
  • Ability to adapt to diverse situations, changes, and new learning opportunities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to operationalize organizational goals.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
