About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized examinations of the breast using mammographic radiographic equipment and other devices as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain mammographic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to provide direct care to patients, including assisting with bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
  • Provide key aspects of patient care, including helping patients with mobility and transferring patients to and from examination tables.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • One (1) year minimum experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred.
  • Must be AART (M) - Mammography registered.
  • BLS Certification Required.
