Pain Management and Palliative Care Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

Michigan Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team in Pain Management and Palliative Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care, assist in the development and implementation of new pharmacy services, and lead regulatory and quality assessment initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care services on weekends, evenings, and holidays based on Department need
  • Assist in the development and provision of pain medication-related education and training programs
  • Conduct or participate in research, drug use projects, cost reduction/management initiatives, and quality improvement activities
  • Collaborate with pain subspecialty consult services, including Addiction Consult Team and Palliative Care Consult Service
Requirements:
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Completion of two years of pharmacy residency or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification is preferred
  • Current licensure as a registered pharmacist by the Michigan State Board of Pharmacy is necessary
