We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Territorial Social Ministries Director. This role will work closely with the Territorial Social Ministries Director to develop and implement strategies for enhancing social ministry across the territory.

Job Summary

The Assistant Territorial Social Ministries Director will be responsible for supervising non-exempt and exempt staff, reviewing and implementing social services programs, and providing consultation support to Officer staff. This role will also serve as a liaison to other Territorial Departments and participate in national committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop non-exempt and exempt staff to achieve departmental goals
  • Review and implement social services programs, including National Social Services Standards evaluation and certification
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance social ministry across the territory
  • Serve as a liaison to other Territorial Departments and participate in national committees
  • Participate in the review of resumes, interviews, and evaluation of potential social services candidates
  • Undertake special assignments as requested by the Territorial Social Ministries Director

Employee Supervision and Professional Development

  • Supervise the goal development of non-exempt staff and programmatic oversight of exempt staff
  • Meet regularly with staff to review goals and develop recommendations for next steps
  • Complete all employee evaluations and recommend employee staff professional development tracks
  • Mentor and coach staff towards success and continuance within the department

Territorial Initiatives and Program Implementation

  • Supervise and support the implementation of The Pathway of Hope initiative
  • Participate in and attend Pathway of Hope trainings and team meetings
  • Supervise and support the Anti-Human Trafficking Program and participate in trainings and meetings
  • Participate in the National Social Services Standards evaluation process and provide on-site training seminars

Contract and TMAC Program Reviews

  • Participate in program reviews, including integrity of program design, fiscal soundness, and Christian program elements
  • Present at TMAC as requested by the Territorial Program Director

Special Projects

  • Participate in Territorial projects as assigned and coordinate project responsibilities
  • Provide regular updates to the Territorial Social Ministries Director on project status

Requirements

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

This is an onsite position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in social services, program development, and staff supervision. The candidate should be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and organized professional who is passionate about social services and making a difference in the lives of others.
