About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in an outpatient setting. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in implementing physical therapy services in accordance with the plan of treatment developed by the Physical Therapist and signed by the physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement client care plan activities based on treatment goals towards independent living for the client/family as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide clear direction to clients during visits and communicate goals for the next visit.
  • Observe and document the effectiveness of interventions on the physical therapy visit report and report to the Physical Therapist.
  • Treat clients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum performance using appropriate physical therapy treatments, modalities, and procedures as stated in the physical therapy plan of care.
  • Identify team members and their roles in case management activity and work collaboratively with them.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience is helpful, but not required. New graduates are accepted.
  • Current license in the State of Maine as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Must have a reliable automobile with a current Maine driver's license.
