Relationship Banker

We are seeking a skilled Relationship Banker to join our team at Bank of Hawaii. As a Relationship Banker, you will be responsible for creating exceptional customer experiences by engaging clients with exceptional customer service and introducing and selling customers financial services to meet their short and long term needs.

• Customer Engagement: Proactively engage existing and prospective clients to understand and interact with 21st century banking advancements by demonstrating transactions using technology, creating an interest and handling objections.
• Financial Services Sales: Maintain and sell financial services to clientele by addressing both their long term and short-term goals through profiling. Identify customer needs, maintain extensive knowledge of products and services, cross-sell, open new accounts, call on prospects and perform teleconsulting.
• Transaction Processing: Process a wide range of financial transactions to include but not limited to: cashing checks, accepting deposits, paying withdrawals, accepting payments, issuing cashier's checks and selling traveler's checks, etc.
• Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Assist in business unit's compliance with all regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

• Registration Requirement: Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry is required.
• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in consumer sales, marketing and/or customer service or equivalent work experience is required.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or similar software is required.
• Other Job Qualifications: Demonstrated verbal communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, analytical, detail-oriented and organized, effective and efficient team player with good sales, marketing, customer service and interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, able to meet fixed and changing deadlines and priorities and follow up consistently.
