Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Assist with physical, respiratory, and cardiopulmonary therapies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including documentation and data entry.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of general healthcare experience and meet requirements of Patient Care Technician title, or 1 year of experience and enrollment in PT/OT/PA program with completion of at least one clinical rotation, or 1 year of experience and completion of a bachelor's degree in a health sciences field.
  • Successful completion of patient care technician senior class and basic information system training.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nursing Student with completed one clinical rotation.
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic or currently enrolled in an EMT or Paramedic program.
Clearances and Certifications
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire; ACLS preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal.
  • Act 33 with renewal.
  • Act 34 with renewal.
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
