Thermal Design and Analysis Lead

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Thermal Design and Analysis Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the success of our spacecraft thermal systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the delivery of large-scale thermal analysis solutions, partnering with engineers across the organization to drive shared objectives.
- Develop and implement thermal management strategies for our spacecraft, leveraging expertise in thermal and fluid mechanics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop thermal systems, ensuring seamless integration with other vehicle subsystems.
- Research and lead the adoption of new technologies to enhance thermal system performance and efficiency.
- Deliver high-level, multi-system architecture analysis to inform the direction of the team and partner organizations.
- BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in design and analysis of aerospace thermal systems.
- Strong understanding of thermal and fluid mechanics, with experience in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in thermal modeling tools, such as SINDA/FLUINT or Thermal Desktop.
- Ability to mentor and guide other engineers, building trust and maintaining positive relationships.
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in an engineering discipline.
- Previous technical lead experience.
- Experience in propulsion budget development and thermal management of space vehicles.
- Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other relevant tools.
