Role Overview
As an integral member of AESC Group, you will significantly contribute to our mission of leading in comprehensive battery solutions for a sustainable future. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the maintenance department's activities, including the establishment of new facilities, mentoring new team members, equipment validation, standard operating procedure support, and managing both new and existing model programs. Your contributions will directly influence our strategic objectives and reinforce our status as a global leader in battery technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the design and review of new equipment with the global project team.
- Develop and maintain project timelines pertinent to the maintenance team.
- Participate in equipment buy-offs and support the installation of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Provide training and documentation for maintenance personnel regarding new and existing equipment, reporting on equipment status to management.
- Update and maintain documentation for systems in assigned areas, including electrical, schematic, and mechanical drawings for new and modified equipment.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to meet quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives while exploring new technologies for enhanced manufacturing methods.
- Enhance the plant's preventive maintenance system, including the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and optimization of preventive maintenance.
- Identify, award, and oversee contractor maintenance work and capital projects.
- Assist manufacturing teams with productivity, ergonomic, quality, and safety challenges to ensure prompt resolution.
- Monitor equipment efficiency and preventive/predictive maintenance processes to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain repair records to effectively identify future preventive maintenance needs.
- Develop and input new equipment and preventive maintenance programs into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Utilize data analysis to identify potential downtime issues and develop maintenance strategies.
- Support the maintenance team with knowledge of networking, interface maps, machine communication, control, and data management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience at a professional level.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with ANSI, NEC, and OSHA standards.
- Proficient in computer programming languages, CMMS, and basic purchasing processes.
- Experience in data analysis of equipment faults and failures to determine root causes and implement solutions.
- Working knowledge of electrical control systems, motors, robotics, and PLCs.
- Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum systems, bearings, and power transmission systems.
- Strong grasp of mechanical systems.
- Experience in leading teams across diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and conferencing tools.
- Familiarity with CAD 2D and 3D software.
- Knowledge of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
- Understanding of ISO14001 environmental standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CMRP and RMIC.
- Experience with SQL and Visual Basic/Macro development.
- Knowledge of battery manufacturing, electric vehicle production, or refinery operations.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Experience in cross-cultural environments.
- Background in manufacturing settings.
- Experience in start-up operations.
