Job Summary

YesCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Holman Correctional Facility. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the health and well-being of our inmates.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility.
  • Administer and document medications on the Medication Administration Record.
  • Perform histories and physicals on inmates, assessing patient health status and referring to appropriate level of healthcare provider.
  • Physically assist Physician in patient examinations and treatments, implementing and following up on Physician/Dentist verbal and written orders.
  • Teach healthcare information to patients and correctional staff.
  • Collect samples, specimens, and cultures per Physician orders.
  • Adhere to safety and security policies and participate in disaster drills.
  • Follow security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
  • Adhere to Universal Precautions and other appropriate infection control practices.
  • Perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy.
  • Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
