Position Overview:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in the Respiratory Services Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. This position operates under general supervision and adheres to established protocols and procedures, focusing on areas of specialty where certification has been obtained from the National Board of Respiratory Care.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments and execute prescribed therapeutic interventions.
  • Implement appropriate treatment modalities based on clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
AHA BLS certification is required prior to the completion of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills are highly regarded.
RRT credential from the NBRC is preferred at the start, with a requirement to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
