Position Overview:
The Cloud Solutions Architect will spearhead and collaborate with a team of advanced system administrators to oversee the management of cloud-based applications for the organization. This role involves working with Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, ensuring the seamless operation and migration of data and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert system administration and cloud engineering support for high-level systems hosted in a secure cloud environment.
  • Develop and maintain architectural requirements, evaluate potential cloud services, and produce comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Information Assurance team to secure cloud accreditation under established frameworks.
  • Conduct technical assessments of architecture and design documents to ensure compliance with organizational policies and system requirements.
  • Install, support, and maintain hardware and software infrastructure in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and generate compliance reports as required.
  • Oversee operating systems, patches, and upgrades while adhering to cybersecurity protocols.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing insights and lessons learned.
  • Establish necessary controls to safeguard information systems from unauthorized access or modifications.
  • Deliver network and host-based security, incident response, and log analysis as needed.
  • Monitor resource utilization and proactively address potential issues.
  • Manage production systems and provide advanced technical support to clients.
  • Document system configurations and processes comprehensively.
  • Review system and security logs, reporting incidents or potential threats to the team.
  • Coordinate with technical support to resolve issues in the cloud environment.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications in cloud solutions are preferred. Candidates must have an active security clearance and a strong understanding of cloud technologies and security protocols.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in cloud engineering, security compliance, and system administration. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential.
