Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to spearhead initiatives aimed at integrating innovative products, processes, and materials into our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and boosting customer satisfaction through improved industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously analyze and refine manufacturing workflows to enhance quality, reduce costs, and increase throughput.
  • Collaborate with design and planning teams to ensure optimal production methodologies are in place.
  • Assess workforce utilization, spatial requirements, and workflow to design efficient equipment layouts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including 3D models and geometric tolerances.
  • Engage with suppliers to define product specifications and coordinate the procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
  • Develop mechanical designs and drafting for production tools and machinery.
  • Conduct cost analysis to identify the most economical manufacturing methods and oversee their implementation.
  • Work closely with management and engineering teams to discuss production capabilities and schedules.
  • Utilize statistical methods to forecast manufacturing needs and potentials.
  • Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve production-related technical issues.
  • Establish best practices and innovative solutions to enhance production rates and output quality.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, objectives, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Design and optimize industrial processes from conception through to startup and certification.
  • Conduct process simulations and risk assessments.
  • Prepare process documentation and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a fast-paced continuous manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Experienced in CAD and SolidWorks software.

Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in process engineering.
  • Strong technical acumen and knowledge of industry standards.
  • Experience with process simulations.
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to manage project timelines.
  • Analytical thinker with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic growth environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
