Position Summary:

The role of the Safety and Environmental Specialist is integral to our Health, Safety & Environmental team, focusing on General Industry Occupational Health and Safety. This position will be under the supervision of the HSE Supervisor. The primary focus will be on promoting and executing all HSE objectives, including the development and implementation of HSE programs, policies, and procedures, with a strong emphasis on occupational health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the establishment of a proactive safety culture aimed at preventing occupational incidents and injuries.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace injury prevention and effectively manage essential duties.
  • Possess a solid understanding of OSHA regulations, standard safety protocols, and best practices for safe work environments.
  • Engage in timely completion and follow-up of assigned tasks, ensuring accurate collection and tracking of necessary data.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in safety or a related technical field (such as engineering, industrial hygiene, or science) is preferred. Alternatively, a minimum of three years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Practical experience in general industry occupational safety, particularly within manufacturing or multi-functional operations, is essential.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering training sessions to individuals and groups is required, with a demonstration of this ability prior to employment.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in performing OSHA HSE duties in a manufacturing setting is necessary.

Work Schedule: This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with specific hours outlined for operational needs.
