Power Engineering Manager for High Voltage Substation Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineering Manager to lead our high voltage substation projects. With strong knowledge of medium to extra high voltage substation protection & control systems and/or physical design layout requirements, you will oversee project planning, coordination, and execution. Your exceptional leadership skills will drive teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Initiating projects with clear scope, budget, and schedule
- Defining project goals and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate project status reporting
- Leveraging expertise to manage project implementation, resource allocation, and cost control
- Scheduling and conducting engineering/design work phases
- Performing thorough reviews of completed project work
- Serving as Engineer of Record for PE-stamped project drawings
In this role, you will also communicate effectively with project team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships are essential. Additionally, you will analyze project performance metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university and at least 6 years of relevant project experience. Proven track record of leading substation design projects is required. Experience with electrical utility equipment, systems, and project/programs is necessary.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $95,470 - $119,768 annually, based on education, experience, and qualifications.
